With support we have developed and continue to maintain our garden with an emphasis on meeting sensory needs of students.
Our gardens offer a haven in the break time for students to enjoy the environment. Students have been involved in planting and maintaining the garden.
Senior students develop their work skills in gardening and recycling. Food scraps are used to maintain 2 worm farms and the by-products used to fertilise the garden.
The gardens contain perfumed plants, plants with varying textures and foliage and plants with edible berries and fruit.
The majority of plants are Australian natives and found in the local surrounding areas.
Fisher Road School is proud to be featured on the Sustainable Schools website.
